    (to elatoatoll32) funny comparison but yes, it applies. Obviously diehard fans resented CJ but DeeDee split and the band went on. What’s really important is that DeeDee was the creative heart of the Ramones (along with Joey.) DeeDee was the real punk!

    You gotta figure it this way: Curley Joe looked and sounded a lot like the original Curley, but he never came even close to being able to replace Curley. Nevertheless, you had to give him an A for effort. What do you think? Does the same go here?
